Lang Lang celebrates in Vienna
Lang Lang embodies talent, intelligence, youth and success. He has appeared at the opening ceremonies of the Football World Cup in 2006, the Olympic Games in Peking in 2008, and the World Exhibition in Shanghai in 2010. In 2007 he set up the Lang Lang Music Foundation to encourage and support talented young pianists all over the world. Time Magazine included him in its list of the 100 most influential people in the world for the first time in 2009. This extremely modest artiste cooperates with UNICEF and has been a United Nations Ambassador for Peace since 2013. His first name (Lang) means “sunlight”, and his second name (Lang) means “man of culture”.
It was a special pleasure for the Gmeiner-Wagner family to welcome Lang Lang for a “private get-together” after his concert at the Vienna Konzerthaus. The guests of the Wagner Hublot Boutique, still very much in a positive mood after the concert, were charmed by the charismatic young artiste.
